Judges 2

2:20 p.m.
I don’t have a lot to say, but I just wanted to update where I am in my Bible reading this time through. Israel didn’t drive out the Canaanites, as God had commanded them to do. If we do not drive the “Canaanites” out of our lives, we will never know the blessing of our full, uncontested inheritance. Hmm.... Tune in tomorrow’s morning meeting....

Joshua 10

11:50 a.m.
Well, there has been another change here at the Faith Assembly desk. We have upgraded the computer. The new computer is easily 5 times as fast, and in some kinds of processes maybe 10 times as fast. This is particularly true in working with the sound files. With the faster processing, I have a much greater sense of accomplishment in improving and compressing files of Brother Freeman’s messages, and also digitizing my own. Consider the one step of filtering out background noise, which sometimes took over an hour, for longer messages, during which I could not use the computer for anything else. This same step with the new computer takes six or seven minutes at the most, depending on the length of the message, and often less than that. What a difference! Furthermore, I can simultaneously use the computer for other purposes, which may slow the particular process down a little, but the ability to do something else productive more than makes up for that! Other steps in processing sound files are reduced from, say, seven or eight minutes to under one minute. At first, when I decided to go for the upgrade, I was uncertain if I was making the right decision, but since I have seen how much faster it is, and how much more productive I can be, I have no more doubts.
