4:8,11-13 One of the central functions of a church according to the New Testament pattern is to be a teaching center, in which the church leadership prepares the saints for charismatic ministry within the body of Christ, as well as for their individual ministries to those outside the body. This preparation takes place through the prophetic and systematic teaching of the Scriptures (II Timothy 3:16-17; Ephesians 4:11-13). The importance of diligent study of the Word of God cannot be overstated. In the fall of 1974, the Lord led Dr. Freeman to establish the Charismatic Teaching Center at Faith Assembly. In addition to the regular church services, he taught a series of classes dealing with many of the deeper and more detailed aspects of Biblical doctrine, comparing God's truth to the errors that have arisen against it from ancient through modern times. Dr. Freeman's comprehensive Biblical Theology course is now transcribed and condensed into the book, Exploring Biblical Theology, available from Faith Ministries and Publications.
